we had a great wedding and yurt vacation--i will post pictures of both when i get them. while we wait, take a look at all the movies we watched at the yurt. it was quite a three-day film spree. nothing better than watching good movies with great people. (especially ben.)
somehow in the move i have misplaced it--i looked for it everywhere last night and can't stop thinking about the possibility of the box having been thrown away or fallen out somewhere between my old apt and my new one.
it's my great-grandmother's ring.
today is awful.

Currently Snow Angels By Over the Rhine all i ever get for christmas is blue see related
i'm taking great care while wrapping my christmas presents this year. my family will have trouble believing they're actually from me...
my venerated holiday tradition is to park outside my parents' house, throw the gifts in bags, and top them with the emergency tissue paper i keep in the glove box. alternately, i sneak the gifts inside so i can use mom's paper and supplies.
the easiest is just sidling in on someone else's present. you have to time the little knowing nod to the recipient just right. scenario: they are delivered a present from under the christmas tree, and while everyone is buzzing in excitement, you make sure to catch their eye, point demurely at the gift and modestly say, "it's from both of us."
i usually get caught, but you should give it a try.
well, the moving part--the unpacking part is still mostly to come.
but who has time to unpack and organize??
ah, there's the rub, as it's sort of necessary to be able to get yourself dressed in the morning, and perhaps throw away the mounting pile of toilet paper-cum-kleenex tissues that are a testament to the fact that both you and your betrothed are afflicted with a vague cold-like illness you're hoping will come to nothing.
